With Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag being revealed recently, it got me thinking about the top 5 pirates in TV and video games that you shouldn't take seriously

Number 4- Jonathan “Johnny” Jones- Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars

This one might be a stretch but I’m putting him at number one on the list. Jonathan “Johnny” Jones is the main boss in the Sunken Ship and Mario needs to get the star back to help the people of Seaside Town. Jones looks like one bad-ass tough customer but he has a soft side as well. He will only give the star to Mario because he beat him in battle and sees the star as sort of a memento to their battle. He is a large shark that has his band of smaller sharks fight until he jumps in to take care of things. The lingo comes with being a pirate and Jones is no different.  “So you're THE Mario, eh? Arr harr, harr...! Not much to look at...Well, this star fell into MY SEA, so it's MINE! If you want it, you'll have to fight for it!” Arr becomes part of the vocabulary when you’re a pirate. He was going to help Mario in the fight with Yaridovich but he couldn’t stay out of the water for too long. Also, he felt that Mario didn’t need help in the fight. Turns out he was right but still, not being able to stay out of the water for too long sounds like a reason not to be taken seriously. It could also show weakness on his part to leave during a fight. If anyone on this list could be considered an honest to goodness pirate, it would Jones. He lives by the code of the pirate and is loyal to anyone who defeats him in battle. The only problem is that he can’t stay on land too long and is bound by the code of the pirates.
