President Erik Piehl and SVP Sevan Kessissian spoke about bringing cloud gaming to the mass market.
G-cluster, a fully-featured white label service offering the largest deployments at scale and the most deployed catalog of casual and AAA games, debuted its Ultimate Cloud Game Machine in Europe at Cloud Gaming Europe at Thistle Marble Arch in London. G-cluster’s President Erik Piehl introduced the G-cluster Game Machine with the first live European demo during his keynote address on February 21, showing how operators can bring premium and casual games to the TV without the need for a gaming console. The system runs on NVIDIA GRID Cloud Gaming technology.
The G-cluster Game Machine plugs into the HDMI port on televisions and connects to the home Wi-Fi network to access the Cloud Gaming service. Players can instantly use a game pad with a wireless receiver, or smartphones or tablets, to control play on the television, playing alone or with friends using other devices such as Personal Computers, smartphones, or tablets.
As the industry needs to find ways to expand quickly, G-cluster is bringing cloud gaming to the mass market with the Cloud Gaming Machine. In his presentation, Piehl shared the company’s vision of the value chain in cloud gaming and discuss what end users really like in cloud gaming outside of the lab.
