The force is strong; just don't step on a Lego piece in bare feet!

This year at the Electronics and Entertainment Expo, developers brought with them some heavy hitters to California. That was no different with Warner Brothers Interactive Entertainment where they brought with them their newest Lego game, Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga. Lego games have never looked better but just don’t step on a connector in space as no one hears you scream in space!

Being able to have free-reign and do whatever you’d like is all the fun in Legos and that aspect if front and center in the Skywalker Saga. You’ll be able to start in any of the nine main movies in the franchise and play with tons of Lego Star Wars characters. You’ll also be able to fly iconic space ships from the Star Wars universe to different planets, as space ship travel is the way you’ll have to traverse the cosmos.

As with the Lego games of the past, you’ll be able to wonder the areas in each locale but you won’t be able to do certain things without the right character in your roster. For example, if a droid can’t move to a certain location but you can’t understand him without C3-PO, you won’t be able to translate the language until you have access to C3-PO. It adds to the replay value and it allows players to go through classic Star Wars locales a second, third, or maybe a fourth time.

The writing will feel like you’re playing a classic Lego Star Wars game and that’s one of the things the franchise is known for. One scene has Darth Vader cutting off Luke’s hand and offering him his in return. You can also do things that you wouldn’t normally be able to do like destroy droids or mess with non-playable character; you’ll be able to do so.

Graphically and musically the game looks and sounds great. It has all the music from the movies to work with and Star Wars music is some of the best music cinematically. Also, to go on the graphics, It looks so cool to see Lego pieces mixed in with real-looking locations like mountainsides and snowy terrains.

In the over world/movie select screen, each movie has a little diorama that shows off an iconic scene from the movie and this shows the developers went that extra mile to put that effort into the game. However, they did put Jar Jar Binks in so they call themselves fans but I’m not so sure. All kidding aside, the Lego universe has never looked better with all nine movies of the Lego Star Wars universe.
