The death throes of a gaming titan.
Not only are these creatures preposterous in design, but the primary challenge in defeating them is making sure you have enough ammo to take them down. Especially at higher difficulty levels where the enemies have more lead than organs in them, in order to combat this rise in health the game expects you to play through the levels over and over again to find seals and artifacts worth "skill points", you spend the skill points on boosting certain stats on your characters like damage output or health, however the only reason to play through the levels over and over again is to get more skill points so you can unlock more attributes to make playing through the levels again easier. Capcom's idea of replayability isn't more content, it's an endless cycle of mediocrity.
While I absolutely love the way Capcom split up the story into separate campaigns, there are still the glaring flaws of wonky controls and a bland tone. I love how the campaigns are all different in their style but none of them are actually that interesting aside from Ada's, and I cannot recommend again because 20 percent of it is decent compared to the rest. Ultimately I would say pay no attention to Resident Evil 6, the lore is too convoluted and dumb for newcomers and the gameplay is too uninspired to warrant a purchase, and diehard Resident Evil fans, buy it used so Capcom doesn't get the money, they'll soon discover true fans won't stand for this new style of game. I give it a 5/10, it's not broken, but it's definitely not great.
