We take a trip to Lincoln with Joel and Ellie. Find out more in our preview.
After exploring the town of Lincoln, Joel and Ellie head down a narrow ally. Suddenly, a Clicker runs towards the survivors! Before they can react, the Clicker trips a line and triggers an explosive that takes out the Clicker. Joel’s old friend has tripwires all around Lincoln to protect himself from the infected and the Hunters. Once Joel and Ellie traverse a few more buildings, they come upon a door, with something banging on the otherside. This is an example of choice in the The Last Of Us as you can choose to explore what is behind the door, or move on with your main objective. We decided to take a look.
Joel's listening mode allows him to see enemies in the environment.
As we approached the door and opened, we heard a figure running up the stairs. Ellie exclaims her extreme displeasure with entering this building, but we continued anyway. We approached a room with a suitcase on a bed, still opened, which appeared to be packed in a hurry. When then entered the living room of the apartment when a Runner sprinted towards us. We immediately took him out and then searched the apartment for supplies. There on the table was a letter. You will find many of these around The Last Of Us that will give you insight into how the horrific infection affected so many. The letter was addressed to Rachael. It stated that man who wrote it could not wait any longer. He packed a suitcase for them and would meet her at the quarantine zone. Could this man who took the time writing this letter be lying on the floor in a pool of blood by our hands? There is no time to even consider it, as we must keep moving.
