Love is Eternal!
It's that time again for a new episode of Chichuki Plays, the show where I go hands-on with upcoming games and show them off. Usually, it's about an hour or so but I don't want to spoil too much of the game for you. This time we're looking at the Love Eternal demo on Steam. This was shown off at PAX East this year and I was able to check it out.
Some minor Chichuki history for this playthrough. This is the first time I have used editing software as you can see with the 2nd part of the playthrough. I'm sorry if there are some hiccups or if the sound sis slightly off sync (no idea why it would be slightly off)
Love Eternal reminds me so much of VVVVVV in terms of how the game plays. By the looks of it, Love Eternal has a creepier vide/story. The main mechanic is flipping from the floor to the ceiling. You have to master some tough acrobatics in this game. Check out the 2nd part of the video if you don't believe me on that. You'll also be able to grab red gems that give your flip ability back to you so you can perform multiple flips. You will need that to get through certain areas and activate some switches. You have plenty of save areas and you will need them. One misstep and you will pay for it.
You play the role of Maya in Love Eternal. This game is an interesting take on the puzzle genre s you try you try to figure out how to get out of this weird castle/tower. It's up to you to guide Maya out of this prison and back to her family. The challenges in this game might make you toss your cookies or at least throw your controller to the other side of the room.
Make sure you check out the hands-on video below!
