Blood, Sweat, and Dicerolls!
It's that time again for a new episode of Chichuki Plays, the show where I go hands-on with upcoming games and show them off. Usually, it's about an hour or so but I don't want to spoil too much of the game for you. This time we're looking at Menherarium on Steam. Fans of games of chance will want to check this one out.
You get drugged and kidnapped by a menhera girl who felt she needed to do something out of the ordinary to get you to look at her. That being said, she has made an interesting game for us to play, Chinchiro. Chinchiro is a traditional Japanese gambling dice game played with three dice. However, in this version of Chinchiro you have to bet with your blood. All you have to do is survive seven days in this crazy girl's custody. That sounds pretty easy doesn't it? Let me be the first one to tell you that it is anything from easy. You have a score that you have to achieve each day and you move on the next one. If you barely make the score, you'll have a conversation with out lovely host that could cost you some blood. Blood is gold in this game because you need to have blood to advance.
There is also coins to collect that you'll use to buy items/Amulets that can help you get better scores. That being said, make sure you pay attention to what you purchase because it could have negative effects. You roll three dice and the better score wins. You can reroll a certain number of times in a day. After the first day, the young lady adds a condition to the game for that day. You'll have to pick one of three options that will make that day more difficult to win. You might have to bet more blood or add another dice to her dice pool. Think about what you pick and how you'll play it. The Amulets will activate automatically so you don't have to worry about them for scoring plays.I really like that the game tells you if you won or lost the round because the scoring system felt very complicated to me. There were also times when I thought I was going to score points on the roll but had the punishment for the day kill my score, eve though I thought i was going to win the roll. Learn the basics of the game and use everything to your advantage. Like I said before, fans of games of chance will want to give this one a shot.
