The actress discusses her work in a pair of hit genre TV series from Xena: Warrior Princess to Spartacus.
Actress Lucy Lawless has garnered a whole new legion of fans through her work on the Starz hit TV series, Spartacus. The actress, who first connected with the Comic-Con audience through the syndicated TV series, Xena: Warrior Princess, has gone a very different direction with Lucretia.
With a new free-to-play Ubisoft Spartacus Legends fighting video game available for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and an online transmedia game experience from Starz Entertainment called Battle for Nuceria (www.battlefornuceria.com) expanding the world of Spartacus: War of the Damned, fans have new ways to interact with their favorite characters from the series.
Lawless talks about saying goodbye to the franchise and explains what new technology, and gaming, has opened up to Spartacus fans in this exclusive interview.
What’s it like saying goodbye to this Spartacus franchise?
Of course this is the final season. I have such mixed emotions. We lost Andy through this. We found Liam and he has picked up that mantle. This season he becomes just a huge star and we saw it on the big screen and he totally carries the big screen. We’re going to see a lot from Liam McIntyre in the future. For them to really grab hold of this series after everything that we put into establishing it makes my heart glad and I’m so proud of them.
