The new classic content is good, but there's little here that adds to the racing experience overall.
Last year's announcer once again makes a return, providing a few tips during the race and giving you a heads up. He sounds a bit too familiar from last year's entry as well, but at least he hasn't lost his ability to aid you when it's needed. The engines sound authentic as well.
I don't know what it is, but F1 2013 doesn't really feel like a fresh representation of the sport like it should be. The game gives you plenty to do and has an adequate presentation, but we've seen most of it before, outside of the classic additions to the game. For next year's edition, Codemasters might want to consider going back to the drawing board and adding some new modes to liven things up – or maybe introduce some next-gen nuances that really bring out the best in the circuit. Otherwise, this series will just end up going in circles – and we don't just mean literally.
