The Komplete Edition is finally on PC/Steam, and for a bargain price.

Same goes for the audio.  The music is a fantastic reminder of Mortal Kombat games of old, and the dialogue is suitable, if not always perfect.  Johnny Cage sounds like an ass – deservedly so – and the other characters aren't half bad.  The punch effects are awesome, as always, and you gotta love the return of "Toasty!"

Best of all, Mortal Kombat comes at a solid price of $29.99, and that includes all the bonus content – the extra fighters, the Klassic Mortal Kombat skins, and the new fatalities.  Ahh, the fatalities.  We love seeing these in action again.  There's even a tutorial that helps you perfect them this time around.  Flawless victory.

Mortal Kombat: Komplete Edition has its performance hiccups, and the online isn't as robust as promised just yet, but you still get a fine 2D brawler that's in mostly prime form for a very affordable price.  If you're a fan of the series, this is a must; and if you're tired of taking the usual circles with Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition, it's well worth a look.

FATALITY.

Score: 9 / 10
