Take a step into the metro with this Metro: Last Light review!
The graphics were overall mediocre on the Xbox 360, but looked great on other platforms. Even with the decent graphics I was still able to fall in love with the environment of the metro. The dark tunnels, and other additions made me really set on the mood of the entire game. What really impressed me were the sounds. The audio was amazing, and really in general made the game scary. I was very impressed on how the sounds of the world cradled me in. Sometimes things would get crazy, and the audio made everything a ton better.
I ran into very little bugs when going through the story, like sometime the lights on candles would look crazy, or the shadow of myself would only be visible when standing. The voice acting was not amazing; actually it was kind of annoying. I got use to it later on, so it was fine. These are all little things that didn’t take away from the overall experience. The only big problem I see with this game is the “Ranger Mode” this part of the game is only available if you own a limited edition copy or pay for it. In this mode you are able to go back and play the game with a little more difficulty to it. I don’t think it is completely fair to do this because “Ranger Mode” should have just been implemented in the game without needing anything special. It would give the player a good reason to go back and appreciate the game a second time.
