With some interesting moral decisions and plenty of enemies to kill, Keiji Inafune's latest is a must-have for Vita owners.

However, there's more to it.  The game has a sacrificial play to it, as you acquire souls from the enemies you down.  You can either absorb them in order to boost your magic power and rain spells on enemies, or free them and gain some XP.  It really depends what you're needing along the way, but it's interesting to see what you can do each time around.

In addition, you can also sacrifice parts of your body if the battle becomes too maddening.  One sequence has you giving up a portion of your vision to turn your eyeballs into a laser-shooting tour-de-force, which is quite a, ahem, sight indeed.  There are other moves you can make as well, but you'll want to utilize them carefully, because you can only lose so much before you're dead.

AI partners can also be resurrected, but their behavior can be unpredictable at times, leaving you questioning if they're worth the resurrection.  I guess it depends on just how badly you need them.

In that case, you might consider the game's co-op support, over both AdHoc and the PlayStation Network.  Though you can't play through the main story this way, you can tackle side missions, which are just as entertaining, splitting the spoils and customizing your character along the way.  We only tried out a couple of sessions thus far, but it's good fun.
