Is this expansion worth a full retail release? Find out in our review!

Almost a year ago, Capcom released a surprising original IP. The legendry company expanded its reach in the world of video games to release an open world hack and slash game that they hoped would turn into another successful franchise. That game was Dragon’s Dogma. Dragon’s Dogma was met with moderate commercial and critical success yet it still found a following. Now, Capcom is releasing a full disc expansion called Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen. Will the new features allow the game to rise to success or descend into darkness? Find out in our review!

The monsters are gruesome.

With Dark Arisen being an expansion to the original Dragon’s Dogma, the story is still the same. For those who have not played the original, Dragon’s Dogma follows the story of the Arisen. The Arisen is a warrior from a small village who fought and had his heart removed by the dragon. Surviving the attack, he learns that he is the Arisen, a warrior with tremendous power. He must then set out on a journey to recover his heart, destroy the dragon, and prevent the end of days.

The Arisen will save the world from the end of days.
