Is the latest installment in the Assassian Creed series more of the same? Find out in our review.

The aesthetics of Assassin’s Creed 3 are stunning. The world presents an evolving weather system that changes naturally throughout the game. Alternating between a bright sunny day in the Boston Harbor to a snowy blizzard in the frontier creates gorgeous visuals that push the boundaries of the Playstation 3 while details like trees, foliage, and the unique features of the towns people hold it back from being truly amazing. The day and night system used in the game immerses you in the world and will truly make you afraid to visit the frontier at nightfall.

Boston is alive in Assassin's Creed 3.

The variety of environments used in Assassin’s Creed 3 breathes new life into the series. The architecture of colonial Boston is perfect for the free-running mobility that the series is known for. This time however, you are not only leaping from rooftops or scaling the side of buildings. Assassin’s Creed 3 allows you to experience the wilderness of the frontier. Being able to scale trees proves difficult at first but is soon fluid and a true experience to watch. While it is hard to believe that so many right angles naturally occur in the wild, the enjoyment of using the rope dart on an unsuspecting red coat while you shield yourself in the cloak of the wilderness is a true delight.
