We sat through a lot of crap this year.  Here's the worst of it.

2. Alex Cross

Remember Kiss the Girls?  That featured a talented Morgan Freeman playing Alex Cross to sheer perfection, a detective more than worth his weight in gold.  Flash forward a few years and you have the reboot of his character, but this time with Tyler Perry – yes, MADEA – playing the role.  He's chasing after a vicious killer played by Matthew Fox – yes, Lost's Matthew Fox – in a story that goes nowhere fast.  Poorly directly by Rob Cohen and featuring very little to hold your attention, this movie probably would've been better off as a Madea cross-dressing comedy vehicle.

1. The Devil Inside

If you didn't think that Chernobyl Diaries was bad enough to bury the docu-style of horror, then this miserable piece of garbage certainly will.  Focusing on a small town trying to deal with a devilish figure, The Devil Inside goes nowhere fast, between cheap attempts to get scares, horrible acting that makes none of the characters believable in the least, and an ending so sudden and cheap, it actually forces you to go to a web address to see how things conclude.  Sad, miserable, awful, rip-off…and the worst of the year.
