Disney's new Fantasyland is now open, for the largest expansion in the history of Magic Kingdom park, offering more immersive enchantment and interactive experiences. The expansion presents more Disney characters and stories in rich detail using some innovative technology.
Project Manager Chad Stachnik gives us the look behind some of the technology behind Fantasyland's Under the Sea attraction. Imagineers use 3D virtual modeling to create a seaside landscape via mobile tablet from BlueSky (putting every idea on the table), to concept, to design, to final construction to immerse guests into the story. Creative & Construction teams utilize tablets to scope out and test a 3D virtual model in exact detail in the design, animation and special effects of this attraction. Disney doesn't only use pre-visualization technology to enhance guest experiences in rides and attraction it's also plays a major role in their stores and dining services.
