An exclusive interview with developer QubicGames.
What online features will be available and will any be added on after launch?
Everybody can compete with fellow competitors around the world through online ranking leaderboards. For each level it is possible to upload your score on a table displaying all other scores and the podium of the three best ones. There is also a special functionality allowing players to compare their scores with friends he has registered on his console. For now, there are no plans for adding any additional online features to the game.
What type of achievements are unlockable?
The game contains 42 achievements to unlock, for more challenge, more replay value and more fun. They are of all types. Some are about testing your skills e.g. complete all levels with full nitro on and without crashing. Some are about your game play statistics and when you unlock them you will know how much time you played, how many km/miles you flew, how many times you crashed etc…Some are rather about highlighting funny game events, such as if you managed to get out alive from a very tricky situation for example.
Are the vehicles all the same or is there some level of customization?
There are 5 jets. They are attached to their respective levels and offer the players slightly different aptitudes of speed and maneuverability. You can’t customize them but they have very unique designs. None of them look alike.
Anything else you want our readers to know?
We hope that many of you will join the big battle already happening for the leaderboards podiums! We take part in this fierce competition and want to defy all of you! When you see our name you will know that it’s us. Can you fly better than QubicGames?
Well, that wraps up another “Let’s Sit and Talk” interview. I would like to thank Mikael Bourget and everyone involved over at QubicGames who made this interview possible. AiRace Speed put the 3D features of the 3DS to the ultimate test and it passed with flying colors. Who knows what the future holds for QubicGames but it looks bright. Keep up the good work guys!
