The Grand-Koopa of them all, the Koopathlon!
I hope everyone checked out my video hands-on/thoughts video for Super Mario Party Jamboree. This episode of Chichuki Plays is all about one of the online modes of Super Mario Party Jamboree. You may have noticed that I didn't show any of the online modes in the hands-on video. That was because I wanted to save the best mode for its own video, the Koopathlon.
The Koopathlon is a special online mode where you play again twenty other people in a race around the track to finish a certain number of laps. Along the way, you play mini games to collect coins and those winnings determine how many spaces you move. After a few turns, you will have to play an Imposter Bowser mini game where its a win to survive kind of thing. What I mean by that is only a certain few will win said mini game and the losers will lose spaces on the track and have to go back. What place you were at the start of the Bower mini game will determine how many spaces you move back if you lose the game.
You'll be able to get your hands on items to use against other players during the mini games. Think of it as if you played Super Mario Bros 35 and the coins you collected would result in power ups. Whereas in Mario Party, the coins will result in items to use against other players. Try to get the most coins in mini games because that will help stay in the lead during the race and could get you back into the race if you fall behind. There are three regular mini games to play, each getting more difficult each time you play it. The Bowser games are tough everytime you play them.
I have to say that I'm having a blast with the Koopathlon so far. It's an online mode that is really fun to play. I could see myself playing this mode for a long time.I'd like to thank the folks at Nintendo for sending me a review code for Super Mario Party Jamboree as it's a real winner!
