A new handheld from the kings of handhelds and Zelda news. Does it get any better than this?
"Nintendo has one of the strongest and most diverse video game lineups in our history," said Reggie Fils-Aime, Nintendo of America's president and COO. "Today we’re making those unique Nintendo experiences more accessible and affordable. However you play and whatever you play, Nintendo has you covered."
The 2DS is a cheaper option of handheld gaming for the masses. It will have the touch screen controls and the DS dual screens just to name a few of the features. In my opinion, if you can’t afford a 3DS, this is the next best option. It is basically a 3DS without the 3D. It looks very uncomfortable to hold but I’m sure once you get the hang of it, it should be a snap and looks geared toward a younger demographic. The 2DS launches the same day as Pokemon X and Y so either way Nintendo wins on October 12th.
Now for what you really came here to read, the names of the games coming out in the future. I have already mentioned that Pokemon X and Y will be out on October 12th. It’s interesting to see that recently Nintendo has started a trend of releasing digital copies and physical copies of games on different days. The trend appears to continue with The Wind Waker HD with September 20th and October 4th as respective release dates( download=Sept 20th) Super Mario 3D World releases November 22nd and in the states, that’s a few days before black Friday so you might be able to grab it on the cheap. The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds releases November 22nd as well so it looks like November is going to be a good time to be a Nintendo fan. The Mario Party 3DS game, Island Tour, also hits store shelves on November 22nd and that’s just another example of Nintendo jumping into their holiday sales early.
