The actress is now a part owner of the mobile video game company.

What do you feel differentiates this device from other things that are out there on the market?

It’s very unique. It’s just a device for gaming. It does anything a smartphone can do except it’s not on a data plan. It’s really awesome. What I love about it is that it tends to teach kids a little bit about responsibility because their parents can only put a certain amount of money on it that they can use once a week. It’s really cool because it teaches them to not constantly be spending money.

How do you see the PlayMG device connecting with the growing number of female gamers that out there today?

I’m a girl gamer and I feel like that a few years ago girl gamers were neglected in the video game market. But now you just see girls constantly playing games. What is really cool is I get to be able to talk to other girl gamers and give them different gaming apps. I think with PlayMG we’re going to change how the girl gaming marketing works.

When it comes to games that you feel like would appeal to a female audience, are there any that standout for PlayMG right now that you would recommend?

I’ll see little girls on their gaming devices and they’ll be playing fashion apps where they can design their own clothes or do their own nail art, which is a big thing. I think that’s cool. They get a chance to be their own fashion designer, be their own nail artist and I think it’s actually pretty fun.

What’s it been like working with Kyrie Irving on this project?

He’s such a fun dude. I love hanging with him. He was actually a guest star on the show that I work on now about a year ago and we kind of clicked. Now we’re able to work together again, which is really fun. He’s like a brother, so we have a good time when we’re together.
