Infinity Ward has officially announced Call of Duty: Ghosts with a release date of November 5th on Xbox 360, PS3, PC, and next gen consoles. If you are anything like me, you’re a bit skeptical on buying it.
Multiplayer:
When Call of Duty is brought up, the first thing I think about is the groundbreaking multiplayer. Never in my life have I felt so many emotions in a small period of time. If you are like me, you have debated throwing away that old Call of Duty disc and calling it quits. Kids have bugged you online and you have thought, “why do I play this?” You were “Noob Tubed” just one too many times. You were one kill away from a care package, I mean c’mon. But you can’t do it can you? No you can’t. Want to know why? It’s not that we can’t play something else, we keep playing because we play for that rush when you call in a successful air strike.
That fear when you are last alive on Search and Destroy. It’s what we play for. It’s why we put up with dying over and over again by a ten year old. Another thing, Call of Duty awards us for killing more and more. We get better guns and better perks and we feel unstoppable. This feeling drives the average gamer to keep going, to keep getting shot by snipers and mauled by dogs. We as a generation have become addicted. I for one have accepted and welcome this addiction.
