Infinity Ward has officially announced Call of Duty: Ghosts with a release date of November 5th on Xbox 360, PS3, PC, and next gen consoles. If you are anything like me, you’re a bit skeptical on buying it. Let’s take a look at how Call of Duty has pulled us in. (Spoilers below)
The Epic Campaigns:
Remember when you stopped General Shepherd from killing Price in MW2? Remember fighting your way through a Russian concentration camp in Black Ops? Or how about when you finally put an end to Menendez’ plot to destroy the government? It’s the gut wrenching deaths of our fellow marines, the heart pounding moment when you don’t know if you will live or die.
These moments are the things we play the game for. These moments define the games single player. As long as they can produce these intense moments, I will be interested. But it was also more than that. You got to know the characters. They grew on you. This element of the game was a great selling point for Activision. It made us play more so we could see what would happen as it progressed.
