Infinity Ward has officially announced Call of Duty: Ghosts with a release date of November 5th on Xbox 360, PS3, PC, and next gen consoles. If you are anything like me, you’re a bit skeptical on buying it.
Co-op:
Call of Duty: World at War introduced a game mode you may have tried called Nazi Zombies. If you haven’t played it, I strongly suggest you purchase a copy of any Treyarch Call of Duty game made in the last couple years. Wave after wave you are swarmed by zombies who have one goal, hit you. You fight through a large map with your friends and you get increasingly better guns and perks. There was nothing more exciting than getting a Ray Gun out of the mystery box. So even after the endless waves where there was no real winning, what kept us going? Leaderboards.
Leaderboards added an entirely new element to the game. You made it to round five on zombies. Congrats, your friend Steve made it to round ten. How dare Steve have a higher rank than you! So you spent hours playing more so you could keep above your friends. Let’s not forget about Spec Ops in MW2 and MW3. You finally can work with a friend in an Infinity Ward Call of Duty. So you play these missions with your friends and it feels like you’re a Special Ops agent and you just saved the day. Well done.
