We make our predictions on which assassins will challenge the Dark Knight.
Lady Shiva
Sometimes, the line between good and evil is painted grey. No one exhibits this ideology more than the assassin Lady Shiva. As a former member of the League of Assassins, and the mother of Cassandra Cain, Lady Shiva is one of Batman’s greatest enemies. She was even chosen by Ra’s al Ghul, the leader of the League of Assassins, to birth the perfect of assassin. After battling heroes like Green Lantern, Black Canary, and Batgirl she joined the hero team Birds of Prey and even mentored The Question.
We hope to see Lady Shiva in Arkham Origins!
Lady Shiva is an iconic member of the Bat Family and not including her in this game would be a disservice to her character’s history. Early in her career, she was a thrill seeker, living off of the rush of combat and near death experiences. Could this be what brings her into the path of the Dark Knight early in his career? Could the League of Assassins play a part in her debut in the game? Also, will we see the father of her child make an appearance as well?
Chances: 75%
Why: Lady Shiva would be great to fill the Catwoman role in Arkham Origins and has ties to the League of Assasins.
David Cain
One of the world’s premier assassin’s, David Cain’s history with Bruce Wayne predates his decision to dawn the cape and cowl. He trained a young Bruce Wayne as a member of the League of Assassins and taught him his most deadly techniques. These maneuvers were so deadly that Batman still refuses to use them to this day. He also trained his daughter Cassandra Cain, Batgirl be teaching her everything he knew and avoiding teaching her anything that may interfere with her training like the ability to read and write.
Will Bruce Wayne's mentor make an appearance?
David Cain may have debuted in the 90’s but he is an integral part of Bruce Wayne’s life and the formation of Batman. With having ties to the League of Assassians and Bruce Wayne before he became Batman, it seems almost impossible to explore the early years of Batman without David Cain.
Chances: 40%
Why: While we would love David Cain to be a main villian, his history with Batman may be to unfamilair. We hope there is at least a Easter Egg involving the chracter.
