China gets the world's first autostereoscopic 3D tablets as new tech allows for larger screens than Nintendo 3DS.
“The 3D mobile market is poised for rapid growth this year as high quality glasses-free 3D tablet screens are now ready for mass production,” said Chris Yewdall, Chief Executive of DDD. “We are pleased to be working with Gadmei as it prepares to launch its first 3D tablets in this exciting new market.”
Gadmei was founded in August 1999 and is a privately owned technology enterprise that specializes in R&D, manufacturing and marketing. Gadmei is focused on the design and development of A/V electronics products across three product ranges comprising IT media series, Digital media series and Household Appliances, producing over 200 products including TV Tuner Cards, TFT LCD TVs, Digital Photo Frames and tablet PCs. These products are marketed through a worldwide distribution network in over 100 countries including the United States, Japan, Hong Kong, Southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa. Based in a purpose built 310,000 square meter headquarters in Qing Yuan, close to Guangzhou, Gadmei employs over 2,000 R&D and manufacturing staff.
