PIZZA BABY!
It's that time again for a new episode of Chichuki Plays, the show where I go hands-on with upcoming games and show them off. Usually, it's about an hour or so but I don't want to spoil too much of the game for you. This time we're looking at Pizzapocalypse: A Slice of Hope demo on Steam!
This game reminds me a lot of Super Mario Odyssey and that's a great thing to see. If it's going to take Nintendo years to make a new Mario 3D game, then someone else has to take up the lord's work and do it. Let me introduce you to Monkey Strike Games!
This game has a lot of charm going for it. From the music in levels to the different unlockable content. I have to say that I love the Monkey Strike Games song at the end of the demo!
Back to the game! You play the role of the Pizzaman! It's going to surprise some of you that you have a pizza in your arsenal to get to different locations. Think Cappy in Mario Odyssey that you can use the pizza to get you to jump higher, run faster and all kinds of other platforming action! I think throwing the pizza against the wall and using the momentum to double jump might be my favorite thus far.
An interesting hidden object is pineapple. Now I know most of the universe doesn't like pineapple on their pizza but in this game you're the pizzaman so what you say goes. Pineapple in levels could be seen as red coins where there are a set number in each level, and you'll have to find them.You'll also have boss fights in the full game so say tuned for those.
