That's ODD!
It's that time again for a new episode of Chichuki Plays, the show where I go hands-on with upcoming games and show them off. Usually, it's about an hour or so but I don't want to spoil too much of the game for you. This time we're looking at the Oddbat demo on Steam.
Halloween is almost here and what better time to play a vampire game than right now. That's what we have today with Oddbat. You play the role of a vampire terrorizing the land. Along the way you'll have to devour townsfolk as well as animals. Similar to power stars in Super Mario 64, you'll have to take a certain number of lives to unlock locations. It's also interesting that you can find/collect pets strewn throughout to bring back home. I love the idea of a vampire only being nice to dogs, cats, and other pets and eating all the people.
You'll also have to nimble to make your way through certain locations. You'll have to slow glide in one section to not hit red spikes and float in a bubble underwater in another. It's a game that rewards speed and at the same time punishes it. You'll have to think when is the right time to glide and when is the right time to flap fast! I like the way the game looks and I'm really looking forward to the full Oddbat game!
