Time to kick some demons!

It's that time again for a new episode of Chichuki Plays, the show where I go hands-on with upcoming games and show them off. Usually, it's about an hour or so but I don't want to spoil too much of the game for you. This time we're looking at Cursemark on Steam.

Cursemark is an overhead-view Roguelike where it's your job to take down demons! You'll have to figure out the ideal strategy for you as you make your way through the adventure. You'll have all kinds of skills and attacks to help you out. I found that the range attacks and special attacks were best. That way, you have some time to get the hell away from wave after wave of demon. You also have the ability to dash away from enemies. I always like heaving the dash ability super early in games like this as it helps keeps you alive.

You'll have to defeat every enemy in each room before you can advance to the next. You'll be able to get healing potions in certain rooms so be on the lookout. You can also find different upgrades in different rooms. You might be able to upgrade your health or attack strength for example. You'll also be able to find wells in certain rooms that can heal HP.

In most roguelikes, once you die that's it. That being said, the more stuff you find in the run, the more payout you'll make. You'll be able to go back to the hub area and buy new spells or upgrade items/equipment.

It is an interesting take on the roguelike formula and I'm looking forward to seeing more from Cursemark. I'd like to thank the devs for the review code. Reminder that the game is in EARLY ACCESS so there might be some minor issues!
