Could be your last hand!
It's that time again for a new episode of Chichuki Plays, the show where I go hands-on with upcoming games and show them off. Usually, it's about an hour or so but I don't want to spoil too much of the game for you. This time we're looking at the Black Jacket Playtest on Steam.
The way to win at Blackjack is to have your total equal 21. The idea behind Black Jacket is to win by any means. Black Jacket takes the tried and true Blackjack and turn it into a roguelike where you make your way across a path and play against interesting characters and boss characters. Like in other roguelikes, the path is different everytime you play and so are the end of level bosses.
The way to win is to get all of your opponents coins before they get yours. Your cards have effects like cancelling out the value of the card across from it or being able to play two cards on a single space on the board. Not all board spots are free so make sure you save up coins. Those spots usually have interesting effects, similar to the card effects. You can also go to shops and buy new cards for your deck as well as get new artifacts to help during the current run.
It feels like there are a lot of roguelikes out there lately but Black Jacket does enough to differentiate it from the rest! Make sure you check out the hands-on video below!
