So Kawaii!

It's that time again for a new episode of Chichuki Plays, the show where I go hands-on with upcoming games and show them off. Usually, it's about an hour or so but I don't want to spoil too much of the game for you. This time we're looking at Full Metal Schoolgirl on the Nintendo Switch 2. Fans of anime girls, slight fan-service, and rougelikes will be in for a treat with this one. From what I played, it's going to be hard to keep Full Metal Schoolgirl off of my Indie games of the year list this year!

Voice acting is really good in this game and it adds to the enjoyment. The controls are really tight. I don't usually like aiming with a control stick but the game doesn't rely just on that. There is a slight lock on feature which makes aiming easier. It also makes aiming on the run feel better too. The game also plays like a hack and slash game which I really like. You'll be able to find new weapons and upgrades strewn throughout the playthroughs. An interesting idea is that playthroughs are like livestreams. You'll be able to earn money through stream donations and missions while going through. The layout of the tower is different everytime you play and that's a good thing because the tower is super large. It appears that I didn't even put a dent in it when I ended the playthrough for the video.

Roguelike plus hack and slash plus anime schoolgirls turned mechs. Sorry, what was I talking about. ANYWAY, Full Metal Schoolgirl is really fun and I have to recommend it. I said earlier but it's going to be very tough keeping it off my end of the year Indie games list.
