Check out Ender Magnolia on Nintendo Switch!
It's that time again for a new episode of Chichuki Plays, the show where I go hands-on with upcoming games and show them off. Usually it's about an hour or so but I don't want to spoil too much of the game for you. This time, we're looking at Ender Magnolia: Bloom in the Mist on Nintendo Switch. This game is also available on Steam if you'd rather play it there.
Ender Magnolia takes place after the events of the previous game, Ender Lillies. You play as the young girl, Lilac, as she tries to save Homunculi with her powers as an Attuner. The Fumes from the Land of Fumes caused the Homunculi to change and in turn become crazed monsters.
Controls in the game feel very tight and in games like this, you need controls to be responsive. One issue I did have with them was that the dodge/dash/air dash was a little finicky. There were a few times where I thought I was going to dodge something but ran right into it because you have to be right next to the thing you want to dodge. It doesn't take anything away from the game but it does make things slightly more challenging.
I really like how the different Homunculi add moves to the party and in turn really feel like a family with Lilac. They feel like they have known eachother for a long time and that comes through with the writing as well as graphically. I'm looking forward to seeing how the story goes from here. I'd like to thank the devs for a review code.
