With its prequel, Oz the Great and Powerful, coming to theaters, The Wizard of Oz Facebook game has been attracting new fans.

“The Wizard of Oz delivers gamers so much more than the typical flat, distant experience we’ve seen so many times before,” said Brian Eddy, the chief creative officer for developer Spooky Cool Labs. “The Land of Oz is a living, breathing place that is growing every day in population and fun. Players are embracing the opportunity to take a truly remarkable journey with their friends.”

Spooky Cool Labs recently expanded the Land of Oz with the newly added Scarecrow’s Farm, which is the first of many major updates planned for the future.

The Wizard of Oz is a beautiful adventure-driven city building social game featuring amazing 3D graphics available in the comfort of a web browser. Licensed from Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment, The Wizard of Oz was named one of Facebook’s Favorite Games of 2012 and available for free at http://apps.facebook.com/wozgame.
