Swing by One Btn Bosses on Chichuki Views!
It's that time again for a new episode of Chichuki Views, the show where I go hands-on with upcoming games and show them off. Usually it's about an hour or so but I don't want to spoil too much of the game for you. Today, we're checking out One Btn Bosses on Steam.
One Btn Bosses tells the tale of the lowly office worker, not taking the crap from his bosses anymore and doing something about it. Luckily, he has a way to defend himself against the bosses and that thing is one button, thus the name of the game. That being said, the game has two modes of play, a story mode and the roguelike mode. I have to say the roguelike mode is very addictive and I found myself going back to it many times. One Btn Bosses does a good job in not giving you the roguelike mode right from the start. You learn the basics of the gameplay first and then when you get far enough in the story mode, then you unlike the roguelike mode. This game has a lot more strategy than I thought when I first saw it. You will need to plan in advance so you don't make a silly mistake and lose hit points/life.
As I mentioned earlier, the game really gets going when you unlock the roguelike mode. You will fight all kinds of bosses and you never know what's going to come at you next. Along the way, you will find new power ups to aid you in your roguelike quest. I said before that you have one button to fight the bosses and it gets pretty tough. It could range from having to change directions very quickly or charge your weapon to make bigger bullets. There are safe zones on the map during the roguelike mode like shops or rest stops. Make good use of these locations to heal your hp or buy better weapons to fight with.
