Does Coromon distance itself from other monster catcher games? Find out in my hands-on/thoughts video.

I recently got my hands on a review code from the folks at TRAGsoft and Freedom games for their monster catching game, Coromon. Let me say that as a big Pokemon fan, Coromon has big shoes to fill but does it distance itself from other role-playing games like Pokemon to feel different. In my opinion, the answer is yes. You catch monsters by using spinners and watching it spin three times before you catch something is exciting. When you start your adventure, you have a lot of customization opions for the character. Being able to give my character a full beard and goggles makes him look pretty cool. An interesting fearure is when you receive your first Coromon by way of answering compatability questions. That way you can get all kinds of monsters as your first pick and the names are cleaver, like Cubzero, the polar bear. One major difference is that in battle, you use stamina, instead of having power points, and when that runs out you can't attack. You do have the option to use a turn to replenish your stamina points but use that turn wisely. To find out more about Coromon, check out my hands-on/thoughts video below and see why I gave the game on Steam a 9/10.

SCORE: 9/10
