Check out my thoughts of Dandy Ace
I recently got my hands on a review code from Mad Mimic Games for their roguelike, Dandy Ace. You play the role of Dandy Ace, the best magician around but his rival, Lele, has other ideas. He traps Dandy Ace and his assistants, JollyJolly and JennyJenny, inside a cursed mirror and the only way out is to explore. It plays like your run-of-the-mill roguelike where you explore and find items/weapons to use during exploration but lose them when you die in battle. It was hard to tell sometimes where enemy attacks were coming from as well as times where you swear you dodged an attack only to actually get hit. Graphically the game looks pretty good but there were times when the game would struggle to run on the Switch. The music for the game as well as the voice acting were pretty good and it was good to see that you can lower the frequency of hearing Lele in the dungeons as he will get on your nerves if you have to replay time after time. You'll find yourself going back for more Dandy Ace as it's very addictive and I'm giving it an 8/10. Again, I would like to thank Mad Mimic Games for the code.
