What have the various Game of Thrones video games opened up as a new way to connect with fans?
This is our first game so it’s impossible to say right now, but we anticipate we will be connecting with our fans in a fun and exciting new way.
How have you worked with the game developers on these various console, browser-based, mobile and Facebook games?
The first console game was a deal initially between the game developer and George R.R. Martin. HBO entered much later and only provided a few assets to decorate the game such as the Throne for the box cover and a few sigils and sound effects.
How have the show creatives and actors been involved in the Game of Thrones games?
We have shared the developments of the social game with them, but they are not involved in the day to day as they are focused on developing the show. Character names are used in the game but it does not involve the show’s talent.
What do you feel this Disruptor Beam-developed Game of Thrones Ascent game brings to the Game of Thrones multimedia franchise?
It provides an opportunity for fans to engage with the series on a different platform.
