As long as an adult pays for admission, a child under 12 can watch the new 3D version of Top Gun.
Regal Entertainment Group, which operates the largest theater circuit in the United States, is letting kids ride into the danger zone for free. Children under 12 can watch Top Gun in IMAX 3D for free when loyalty club members purchase adult tickets to The IMAX 3D Experience. Top Gun makes its premiere in IMAX 3D on Thursday, February 7. This high-flying adventure will be available for a limited engagement through February 13 at a total of 70 Regal Entertainment Group IMAX theatres across the country.
“Regal is thrilled to bring Maverick, Iceman, Goose and the other fighter pilots back to the big screen and this time in 3D,” stated Neal Pinsker, Senior Vice President of Theatre Operations and IMAX for Regal Entertainment Group. “From the amazing aerial dogfights to the close-ups in the cockpits, IMAX 3D truly transforms this film into a new experience.”
“By offering the free child’s ticket, Regal is helping to introduce ‘Top Gun’ to a new generation of moviegoers,” stated Ken Thewes, Chief Marketing Officer for Regal Entertainment Group. “Regal Crown Club is the leading loyalty program for theatres and we’re proud to offer this additional value to our 7-million active members.”
Fans of Top Gun can purchase tickets now for the entire family. For Regal Crown Club members, each adult IMAX 3D ticket sold at the box office includes the option for one child’s ticket at no cost. Moviegoers can sign-up at theatres for free membership in the Regal Crown Club before making a purchase. Free tickets are not available through Internet purchases.
