Even with the uneasy moments, this trip to Los Santos is most certainly worth it.
Anyway, the number of activities you can take part in with this game is absolutely staggering. Want to take a flight around the city in a blimp and send it crashing down Hindenburg style? Have at it. Want to cruise around in an ATV and then commit chaos in a gunfight? Option's on the table. How about a recreation of Wave Race with a little violence on top? Sure. And this is just barely outside the box. Grand Theft Auto V gives you so much to do, we still haven't discovered it all. And that's after five days, folks.
The gameplay has improved in a number of areas. Though the handling of vehicles is somewhat loose with smaller sports cars, that's kind of the point. It's supposed to be that way. The driving is a sensational part of the game, whether you're in a high-stakes battle with police or pursuing a foe that just doesn't know when to quit.
The gunplay is superb, too. There's a cover system that works real well here, and taking down targets is fascinating, especially when you go for headshots. Rockstar really learned something over the years, not only from Red Dead but also Max Payne. It pays to give players full control – and that's just what they have here.
