What will Phenias and Ferb do today? Find out in our review!
In Phineas and Ferb: Quest For Cool Stuff, the brothers have reached the dreaded last week of summer vacation. As they wonder their backyard to come up with an idea, they decide to go to the museum. Candace reminds them that they have already seen every inch of the museum, so Phineas and Ferb decide to create their own museum. The appropriately named Museum of Cool Stuff must be filled with cool artifacts from across the world, so the Quest for Cool Stuff begins! Phineas and Ferb build a Do-It-All Transformatron to help them explore and find cool stuff. While this would be enough for any video game, the question has to be asked. Where’s Perry?
Perry The Platypus a.k.a. Secret Agent P is on a secret mission of his own. He must stop Dr. Doofenshmirtz from making a new “inator” that will magnetize and attract all the cool stuff in the Tri-State Area. This is a great way to tie the subplot to the major plot of the game. It is up to Secret Agent P to do what he does best. Stop Dr. Doofenshmirtz and destroy his latest invention. He does it all, while wearing that awesome fedora.
Phineas and Ferb: Quest For Cool Stuff uses a form of cell-shaded animation to bring the charismatic brothers of invention to life. This is not the most detailed way to showcase the content, but it does give the game a unique animated feel. The developers clearly wanted the player to feel like they are playing through a episode of the show, so this is a suitable choice. The color palate is also bright and colorful which will keep the attention of the targeted kids audience. All your favorite characters from the show look just like their cartoon counterparts. All the voice actors from the cartoon are along for the ride providing original V.O. work for the game. The music is also incredible with the mixture of original and familiar tunes creating a fun experience.
