It isn't perfect, but it's a game owners of the handheld shouldn't miss.
Single player will take about three-something hours to get through, which is a decent length compared to most games, but a slight disappointment compared to other Killzones. Thankfully, multiplayer makes up for it, with three pretty good modes – free-for-all, team deathmatch and the varying Warzone. The sessions we took part in were a lot of fun, running with very little lag and offering plenty of variety in terms of weapons and challenges. This is multiplayer we're happy to come back to – especially compared to Call of Duty Forgot the Rest of the Title Because It Stinks.
While Killzone: Mercenary doesn't have quite as much content as the last PS3 release – and definitely the forthcoming PS4 adventure – it's a very good release for the Vita, one that has a heaping amount of thrills through both its single player campaign and multiplayer. Considering the last two games weren't able to do that, this Mercenary is a welcome sight.
