Disney's innovative effort will certainly keep you busy...and maybe a little bit broke.
I like the supplementary worlds as well. The Lone Ranger's is surprisingly good, washing away any memories of the over-produced film in favor of a simple Western adventure. Cars isn't bad either, and is built more around general racing than platforming.
Of course, the highlight is the Toy Box. This is where your imagination can run wild and you can really unlock a bunch of good stuff, ranging from Scrooge's Moneybin to Tron-like lighting. Of course, you'll need some Power Discs for stuff you can't unlock, which will run you a few bucks extra. They're sold at random, so you might need to scour eBay or go to some swap locations if you really want to find that one you're looking for. A mild frustration in an otherwise ideal set-up, Toy Box will keep you digging for months to come.
The general gameplay is usual platforming stuff – outside of the Cars model, which offers entertaining racing – and it works pretty well. There are glitches at times that force you to restart a mission, like trying to scare a monster in the University stage, only for him to not even notice you, but it doesn't happen that often. Overall, it's good fun, though better suited for kids and Disney fans.
