Is this mobile followup to Human Revolution worth the download? Find out in our review!

While playing the game, the AI also varies. While the guards can be alerted to your presence, they are easy to avoid. There were times where I was able to hide from guards simply by crouching as they walked past me. Still, having the option to use action or stealth tactics creates and enjoyable strategic experience. Performing a silent take down is fun and enjoyable every time. Searching for vents, cover, and doorways to maintain your cover is awesome. If you decide to take the direct approach, then Deus Ex: The Fall will cater to your chosen style of play.

Stealth is always an option.

There is a dangerous selection of weapons at your disposal in Deus Ex: The Fall. Various pistols, machine guns, and a dart gun can be used to eliminate the enemy. EMP and other grenades are also at your disposal to focus on the robots that you will encounter. You are also able to alter or upgrade your augmentations. The menu options for upgrading are intimidating at first, but are easy enough to navigate once you learn the layout. While the hacking min games fit into the setting of the game, I still find them just as unnecessary as they were in Human Revolution.

Augmenting your abilities will improve gameplay.

Deus Ex: The Fall is a very fun game. Presenting the follow-up to Human Revolution on mobile devices is a great way to inject new life into the franchise without creating fatigue for gamers. The presentation is good for a mobile game. With the current games on iOS, I expected more. The same can be said about the stiff presentation and the robotic dialogue. Thankfully the gameplay pulls it all together. Minor gripes aside, Deus Ex: The Fall is a good game and is definitely worth the download.

Score: 7.5 / 10
