Does the mobile game hold it's own? Find out in our review!
The attacks in Injustice: Gods Among Us are the true highlights of the presentation. Other mobile games may become stuck or frozen when the action on screen is to heavy. While we did experience a crash once while playing, there are no noticeable pauses in the action on screen. Each character’s combos look great and are true to that character. Sinestro creates constructs to attack his opponent and Green Lantern alternates between melee attacks and arrows. The super moves that have been shown in the trailers are here as well and look glorious. Seeing Green Lantern use his constructs to attack his opponent with his super moves on the screen are awe-inspiring. This is not just a game used to cash in on a potential successful IP, this game was built from the ground up for mobile devices. It especially shows in the gameplay.
The Combat IS Fast And Fun
Injustice: Gods Among Us can be looked at as a superhero game with fighting mechanics built in. This is far from the truth. This game was built from the ground up as a fighting game and it shows. The controls are simple to use and are similar to the touch controls used on the PS Vita version of Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. While it may seem that it only takes a simple touch or swipe to deliver an attack, the true test is in the timing.
