Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 has a lot of potential but fails to reach its target. Find out why in our review!
The original Sniper: Ghost Warrior was a bold yet flawed game that attempted to display the sniper experience. Now CI Games seeks to remedy all of that with Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2. With a partnership with Crytek and the use of Cry Engine 3 does this sequel have victory in its sights or has it been targeted for defeat? Find out in our review!
Surveillance is key in surviving this game.
The presentation of the environments in Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 are great. Silently moving through the water or crouching behind objects is exactly what you would expect. The quiet and tense nature of the game is underscored by great music and sound design. When you are moving through the environment the tension an be cut with a knife.
The environments are great yet lack the polish that Cry Engine 3 can provide.
The nervous excitement is heavy and you will be on the edge of your seat attempting to sneak past your enemies without alerting them. The presentation is not without its flaws as the game uses Cry Engine 3 but it doesn’t show. The textures in the environment are great, but the polish and graphical detail that Cry Engine 3 provides is just not present in the game.
