The Guardians of Middle Earth are here to defend your consoles but is it worth the battle? Find out in our review!

With The Lord of the Rings trilogy done and the Hobbit series just beginning, J.R.R. Tolken’s brilliant fantasy work has finally made its way to the Xbox Live Arcade with Guardians of Middle Earth. In this multiplayer online battle arena game, players take control of the legends of Tolken’s series and battle to defend Middle Earth. Could this truly be the one game to rule them all? Find out in our review!

Prepare to defend Middle Earth.

Guardians of Middle Earth takes place in the heart of J.R.R. Tolken’s fantasy universe of Middle Earth. The game is shown from a top down perspective to give you the best view of the action on the screen. I am normally not a fan of this perspective, but for a multiplayer online battle arena game this works. Normally the perspective is used in a attempt to hide low quality graphics, but Guardians of Middle Earth delivers in that regard as well. Every spell, monster, and arrow are created with pretty impressive detail considering the genre. While the presentation of the spell and upgrade menus take a while to get used to, anyone familiar with MOBA or even MMO will feel right at home.
