On the heels of Dead Rising 3's success, Capcom is already gearing up for the future.

Big-name Japanese developer Capcom kicked off the new console generation with a bang thanks to the success of their Xbox One-exclusive threequel Dead Rising 3. Now the studio has revealed that they’re not planning to stop there.

According to an OXM interview with Mike Jones, a developer over at Capcom’s Vancouver studio, Dead Rising 3’s success has only stoked the already large fire of appreciation Capcom has for their fans but also that making great games takes time:

"I promise you that everybody who works at Capcom is a huge Capcom fan," he added. "There's nobody who works at Capcom who's like 'yeah, whatever' - most people f**king love Capcom. So they're definitely having all the right discussions, but it's a big company, a big global company, and it's hard to get all those pieces moving in the right direction quickly."

However, Jones also hinted at a number of different mystery projects Capcom has in the pipeline, though sadly he couldn’t divulge any details. In addition to the upcoming PS4-exclusive procedurally-generated RPG Deep Down and the recently revealed Strider reboot, some fans are already clamoring for a new Resident Evil title ( rumors suggest Capcom is planning to reboot the series) as well as a next-gen fighting game starring a certain Hadoken-firing karate expert.

Either way, Jones encourages all Capcom fans to keep a close eye on the studio in the coming months and years since Dead Rising 3 is only the start of an entirely new era for Capcom.
