The Holidays will be here before you know it and that didn't stop EA from showing off their holiday showcase.

Now for the last two games that were shown at the Holiday Showcase and easily my favorites. First, there was Feed Me Oil 2, an easy to pick up and play puzzle game where you’re trying to get all the dropped oil from one spot to another. This is one of those “lose days over” type puzzle games where you have no idea how much time has passed while playing. The less equipment you use to solve each puzzle, the more stars you get. Completionists like my brother and I were trying to get all the stars in the demo. There are several different tools to use to solve each puzzle like fans that blow in one direction or boomerang-like arms that can throw the oil.

The puzzle environment is crazy where each puzzle takes place around a different monster-like animal. One could be dealing with getting oil through the mouth of a whale and the other could be getting it over the arms of a dog. Easy controls where you just touch and grab items from the “toolbox” and put them where you want them to go. The puzzles that were later on were really tough and took a lot of time to figure out how to master but if that much playtime is in what EA showed in a demo, just imagine how much is actually in the game!

The last game show was from the popular Plants Vs Zombies series. PvZ 2 for the Android/Google Play brings the game to so many more people, now with Android devices. Addictive puzzle game play as well as crazy action on the screen will keep you glued to this puzzle/strategy game for hours. Everything could be fine one second on screen and then it all goes downhill in an instant. You need to learn what plants do what fast if you plan to survive the different waves of zombie attacks. For example Sun flowers create more sun and allow for more plants to be planted and Cherry Bombs create large explosions and destroy many enemies. (Just another form of strategy in what plants to bring into battle and just a heads up, different zombies do different things) You’ll need to be sharp and quick on your feet so you know how do defeat the different types of zombies, like Pirate and Ancient Egyptian zombies. This was my first foray into the Plants VS Zombies series and from what I saw; I don’t know what took so long!
