WOW. 2K has some competition for the first time when it comes to NBA games.
Today I was going about my normal day of doing video game news. I checked out the new gameplay trailer of the EA's upcoming NBA Live 14 title and my jaw nearly dropped. Watching Kyrie Irving juke out a player with his double crossover (a move which I've been trying to teach my nephew and other kids that I coach) to go for a sweet smooth layup was gorgeous to watch. Graphically this game looks ready as far as player models, textures, court layouts, lighting, etc goes.
The battle between both 2K and EA Sports will be an interesting one. We know NBA 2K14 is going to do its thing when it releases for the next generation consoles, the question is will NBA Live 14 bring its A game. The physics, gameplay animation, the AI and other aspects of the game have yet to be seen but so far NBA Live 14 is looking really nice.
Those who decide to preorder NBA Live 14 will have a chance to secure Gold Packs for NBA Live 14 Ultimate Team. Ultimate Team will allow players to experience a combination of fantasy basketball along with NBA Live to allow gamers build rosters including modern NBA stars and all time legends.
