An exclusive interview with the creator of Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey.

Red Thread Games is readying Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey adventure for mobile gamers, which has been funded with over $1 million through Kickstarter. The Norwegian studio, which was founded by The Secret World and Anarchy Online creator Ragnar Tornquist, is being optimized for NVIDIA Tegra 4 technology. Tornquist talks about the new game in this exclusive interview.

What is Dreamfall Chapters: The Longest Journey about?

It’s an adventure that takes the player on a journey across two worlds, Stark and Arcadia. We’re blending science fiction and fantasy in a really interesting combination. We’re following the two previous games in the series, The Longest Journey and Dreamfall, creating the sequel that everybody’s been wanting for years now.

For those people who haven’t played these games yet, what’s the gameplay experience like?

The gameplay is traditional adventure, but set in beautiful worlds where you can explore, roam and talk to people. There is a lot of character dialogue. In Dreamfall Chapters we’re bringing the idea of player choice into the mix so that players can shape the story as they wish and share that with other people.  It’s a pure adventure and it’s a journey into magic, science fiction and danger. It’s really dramatic and it’s a fantastic gaming experience.
