Despite their ambitious plans for the Xbox One, Microsoft has been forced to delay the console's release in certain countries.

During their E3 Xbox One presentation, Microsoft announced that they’d be releasing the Xbox One console worldwide in 21 different countries. Sadly, it looks like they’re not going to be able to make that full mark.

Last night the Xbox Leadership Team made an official post on Xbox.com announcing the confirmed final schedule for Xbox One’s market release. The previously announced launch date of November, 2013 will see the release of the Xbox One in 13 different countries: Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Spain, United Kingdom, United States and New Zealand.

The launch window for Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, Russia, Sweden, and Switzerland has been pushed back into 2014 but Microsoft has promised that they want to release the Xbox One in those countries “as soon as possible.”

Microsoft cited several reasons as to why the Xbox One’s launch had to be delayed in those countries such as localization requirements which include incorporating proper language and voice-recognition support as well as building partnerships in order to bring reliable local content to the console in every country.

The full post from the Xbox Leadership Team can be read on the following page.
